Demand Field Service Technician


Job Details

* The Field Service Technician will be responsible for traveling to customer sites and supporting the full lifecycle of pulp-and-paper quality control products at client customer facilities under limited professional supervision. This includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance, testing and troubleshooting proprietary customer hardware and software, as well as assisting with any projects, upgrades, new installations, and advanced services for the technician's assigned customer or region. This individual will be required to work independently or as part of a small site team to provide service for customers of client's pulp-and-paper equipment and hardware.

* IT networking knowledge and experience

* Pulp and Paper industry exposure

* Previous job that required traveling
o High school diploma with 5+ years of relative experience with mechanical and/or electrical knowledge with hands on troubleshooting and maintenance experience

o OR Associates/Bachelor's Degree in field relating to instrumentation & control, electrical or electronics engineering, instrumentation or process control with 1+ years of troubleshooting industrial equipment with controls/networking experience

o OR military experience with Electrical or Electronics knowledge and ability to read diagrams, blueprints, and troubleshoot electrical and electronics equipment/components

* Candidates must be comfortable using electrical test equipment such as voltmeters or multi-meters safely as well as other basic hand tools

* Hands on troubleshooting and/or Mechanical aptitude/knowledge

* Must be comfortable working in an "on-call" rotating schedule with other member of the site team ("on-call hours will be compensated for)

* Must have a reliable means of transportation

* Must be comfortable traveling up to 6 hours around regional area visiting customer sites
