Responsibilities:

  • Uses a variety of material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, order pickers, turret trucks and handcarts to move raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse.
  • Efficiently and accurately pick production orders from the warehouse according to the parameters specified in work order packets (i.e., warehouse locations, quantities, etc.).
  • Follow all instructions as they relate to pallet type, product segregation, special label requirements, and other condition as they are presented.
  • Execute/record transactions via RF/barcode scanner (WMS: Oracle EBS).
  • Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety and quality issues.
  • Conduct cycle and inventory counts when required and assist other team members in variance analysis and reconciliation efforts.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of general work experience in a warehouse.
  • At least one (1) year of experience operating lift equipment, including an order picker and narrow aisle reach truck.
  • Must be a self-managed collaborator comfortable working in a demanding environment.
  • Must be willing to cross-train in other work centers if/as needed (i.e., Receiving and Inventory).
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Able to safely work for extended periods of time, mostly standing, well beyond an 8-hour workday, lift materials up to forty-five pounds.
  • Works overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards.

Desired Qualifications/Competences:

  • One or more years' experience utilizing Oracle EBS or other warehouse management systems in a fulfillment, distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Qualified forklift, order picker, and/or turret truck experience.
  • Functional experience with RF/barcode scanners in high volume, warehousing environments.
  • Complete all required documentation in an accurate and legible manner.
  • Diligence and order accuracy.
