Opportunities available on 1st and 2nd Shift.
1st Shift Hours: Tuesday-Friday 4:00am - 2:30pm
2nd Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am
Location: Luzianne Tea Manufacturing Plant at 5601 Chef Menteur Highway
Job Summary: This position is responsible for safely troubleshooting, repairing and installing equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
* Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of hand tools
* Troubleshoots and safely repairs basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and components
* Effectively prioritizes equipment issues in order of importance, manage downtime, and communicates issues to peers and leadership; escalates issues to experts or external resources as needed
* Utilizes Digital Production System (Redzone) to track assigned actions, updates peers, and communicates with departments
* Reads and interprets equipment drawings and OEM Manuals for packaging equipment
* Reads and follows instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications
* Accurately completes all work order and quality paperwork
* Enforces Reily Foods Engineering & Purchasing Standards
* Reports environmental, health, and safety concerns to leadership
* Must be flexible with weekly work schedule to troubleshoot and fix issues as they arise in a timely manner to allow production to meet business demands
* Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and maintenance shop
* Follows all safety procedures and participates in safety training; maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition
* Supports and complies with GMPs; understands and follows emergency action plan
* Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
* Technical certification preferred
* 3+ years of manufacturing facility maintenance experience
* Basic technical skills include Mechanical, Troubleshooting, Pneumatics, Fluid Power, Hand Tools
* Strong problem solving and analysis skills
* Self-directed team player with ability to communicate effectively and complete projects in a timely manner
* Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of rotating between 1st and 2nd shift as needed
* Strong safety awareness
* Positive attitude with ability to follow rules and directions
