Paid holidays, and uniforms with free laundry service.SummaryThe Environmental Testing Technician is responsible for performing testing and determining issues of Underground Storage Tank (UST) equipment designed to reduce the chance of a release of petroleum into the environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Conduct periodic testing and evaluation of UST components Carry out the testing of all engineered equipment including spill buckets, overfills devices, tanks and lines, sumps, leak detectors, and cathodic protection Fill out completed test forms and submit to supervisor Operate specific testing equipment according to EPA guidelinesMaintain company vehiclesUse mobile data tabletsPerform monthly/annual walk-throughs as assignedCompetencies:To perform this job successfully, an individual must have demonstrated experiencein the following competencies and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Certification in Estabrook Line, Tank and Leak Detection Cathodic Protection Certification a Plus Planning/Organizing Communication Customer Service Teamwork Initiative Adaptability Physical Demands Requirements A minimum of a high school diploma/GED Experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education Valid Driver License, with an acceptable driving record Ability to read and interpret and understand necessary training manuals.
