Vice President, Public Health

LMI is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to spearhead our expansion in the Public Health market, focusing on the Department of Health & Human Services agencies and offices. This role is designed for an energetic self-starter who excels in managing profit and loss, driving growth, promoting our offerings and solutions, leading large competitive pursuits, and positioning LMI for future expansion. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining delivery excellence on current projects. This Vice President-level position is based in Tysons, VA.


  1. Profit and Loss Management:
    • Assume overall responsibility for profit and loss, enhancing client relationships to understand their mission, strategy, and challenges.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of opportunities and risks to strategically align LMI capabilities with client needs.
  2. Service Delivery Excellence:
    • Deliver high-quality services that exceed client requirements, ensuring cost-effective project execution.
    • Facilitate collaboration across service lines for optimal staff deployment and service delivery.
  3. Leadership and Team Empowerment:
    • Empower project staff by providing leadership, management, and coaching.
    • Ensure a culture of high performance and dynamic team engagement aligns with LMI values.
  4. Strategic Market Growth:
    • Lead the strategic direction for Public Health market growth, achieving revenue and margin targets.
    • Collaborate with Business Development and service lines for new opportunity identification and client development.
    • Innovate and drive business development initiatives, managing external partnerships effectively.
  5. Vision and Strategy Development:
    • Set the strategic vision for internal and external partnerships and client growth.
    • Develop a framework to shape and drive new opportunities on LMI contract vehicles.

  • Proven experience managing P&L and federal government contracts, with a preference for managing portfolios over $50 million.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with agencies such as CMS, FDA, and NIH.
  • Solid understanding of customer needs and significant experience with key client organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex contracts, exceeding customer expectations and driving growth.
  • Strong collaborative skills in a matrixed organization.
  • Proven experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Advanced degree preferred; Program Management Professional certification desirable.
  • Must be eligible for a government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
