The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

The Acquisition and Technology Analysis Group within JOID specializes in the application of multi-disciplinary analytic skills to support multiple clients within the Department of Defense (DoD). These clients include the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)), DARPA, the Joint Staff, and USINDOPACOM. SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.

We have an immediate need for a Cyberspace Operations SME to provide onsite support in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities:

SPA is seeking an experienced Cyberspace Operations Subject Matter Expert to support the Cyber Warfare Directorate within the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Platform and Weapons Portfolio Management. Candidate will provide subject matter expertise and staff support as part of Cyber Warfare Directorate's execution of Cyberspace Operations-related Integrated Acquisition Portfolio Reviews (IAPRs). In addition, will participate in OSD meetings with Cyberspace Operations stakeholders, assisting government personnel with the research and development of the Cyberspace Operations IAPRs which are focused on aligning the Cyber Mission Force-related acquisition portfolios. Will apply a background in Military Cyberspace Operations (US Cyber Command or Service Cyber Component experience preferred), experience supporting senior DoD staffs (OSD experience preferred), and the ability to coordinate with multiple community stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master's Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in Cyberspace Operations, with significant offensive cyber operations expertise
  • Active TS clearance and SCI eligible
  • Experience supporting the cyberspace operations and/or developing cyberspace architecture
  • Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of U.S. Cyber Command
  • Understanding of the Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA) and the Cyber Mission Force
  • Must have a professional demeanor, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to proactively and independently coordinate with DoD stakeholders

Desired:

  • Certified DoD Acquisition certification or PMI Program Management Professional certification
  • Experience in a Military Department Program Executive Office/Program Management Office or in an Acquisition Executive Office
