The Wayfarer San Diego is hiring a part-time Security Guard. The Security Guard's main function is to ensure the safety and well-being of the physical property, guests and employees. This position involves conducting a visual patrol, deterrence, observation and the reporting of incidents.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
* Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to guests.
* Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
* Patrol all parts of the property including hallways, stairwells, public areas, and outside / parking areas
* Check doors and stairwells to ensure locks are secure
* Maintain communication with Front Desk through radio
* Report safety concerns to General Manager and correct as needed
* Complete patrol reports
* Respond to requests, complaints and calls for help
* Escort guests and / or employees off property as needed
* Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Pay Range: $20-22/hour
