Knowesis is currently seeking an experienced Biomedical Research Portfolio Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Research and Engineering (R&E) Directorate, Science & Technology Enterprise Integration Division (STEID). This is a hybrid position in Silver Spring, MD.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the position's security clearance requirements.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Serves as a Biomedical Research Portfolio Analyst for the oversight of the DHA Science and Technology (S&T) Portfolios, supporting various workstreams and tasks.

* Executes analytical tasks that enable rigorous strategic, financial, and programmatic oversight and management of a military medical S&T research Portfolio.

* Independently researches and consolidates information and data into cohesive and understandable reports, presentations, or graphics for use in management decision-making to convey findings to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

* Consults with leadership and other directorate personnel to identify, define, and document strategic needs and objectives.

* Consults with leadership and other directorate personnel regarding current operational procedures and problems in program and business processes, provides recommendations for improvements, and assists with implementing improvements.

* Responsible for developing professional briefings, templates, and documents to support the organization's needs and activities.

* Defines and documents client business functions and processes in an easily understandable format.

* Coordinates with Portfolio team members to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively, adhering to all deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of 1 year of experience providing analytical support to a government scientific management program.

* Demonstrated data analysis and critical thinking skills.

* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint).

* Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented with efficient time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities; can handle multiple and parallel projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to depict complex systems and processes in logical, comprehensive, concise reports, presentations, or graphics.

* High degree of professionalism, ensuring that products and communications are technically accurate and of professional quality.

* Demonstrates leadership in activities, as appropriate.

* Uses innovative, creative approaches when necessary (to meet novel needs and/or solve problems).

* Must work effectively and positively in a collaborative team environment.

* Takes initiative in identifying and accomplishing needed tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Demonstrated proficiency in creating data visualizations using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or Tableau

* Experience supporting a federal or Department of Defense research and development program

Education:

* Bachelor's Degree in a biomedical science or related field is required

* Master's Degree in a biomedical science or related field is preferred
