Do you want to work with a world-class team of engineers?A Sr Sales Engineer (SE) is an outstanding individual who combines the communications skills to build strong professional relationships with the technical skills to develop compelling network solutions that accomplish our customers' mission imperatives. The SE partners closely with an Account Manager to deliver mission success for our customers, thereby driving revenue growth.Daily activities include direct customer and partner engagement: comprehensive discovery, information sharing and collaborative solution design; proposal development; solution demonstrations; proof-of-concept test design and execution. SE's also work collaboratively within Juniper to highlight emerging customer requirements and use cases, convey the competitive landscape, and coordinate with Juniper and partner professional services organizations to ensure implementations meet or exceed customer expectations. You will develop decades-long customer relationships. Additionally, time is invested in technical, professional, and leadership development through self-study and formal training. If you have over-the-top technical aptitude and curiosity, if you can influence both technical and business stakeholders by translating mission goals and challenges to technical solutions while differentiating Juniper from competing solutions, if your interpersonal and high-impact presentation skills evoke passion and confidence, then Juniper Networks is the place for you!Position Specifics This is a home-office position in the VA/DC/MD region focused on supporting Juniper's FSI Federal business for both Sell-To and Sell-Thru markets.Must be a US Citizen to support Federal entities. Must be eligible for a security clearance if asked to obtain a clearance.Required Experience Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop meaningful and impactful professional relationships. 5 years of demonstrated ability and experience as a pre-sales SE for a network vendor or value-added reseller. Strong hands-on experience with Juniper or competing vendor solutions and hardware platforms. Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent desiredDesired Technical Skills Campus network design (wired, wireless, WAN and security) Strong understanding of Wireless technologies Data center network design (EVPN/VXLAN, IP fabrics) Core routing (OSPF or ISIS, BGP, MPLS, SR) Network Security design (NGFW [L7 Application Visibility and User Identification], IPS, Zero Trust, Defense-in-Depth, UTM, WCF, DDoS, IPSec, MACSec, SIEM) Knowledgeable in Federal Market requirements (FIPS 140-2 and 140-3, NIAP, FedRAMP/IL4-5, STIG, DOD APL, USG v6, Section 508)Additional Desired Technical Skills Network virtualization, including containerization Network automation, including Python, Ansible, YANG, JSON, Netconf Legacy TDM/Serial communicationsWhat makes you a phenomenal fit Positive attitude, a desire to learn new technologies, and the ability to handle competing priorities in a very challenging environment. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations.
