Northrop Grumman's People Analytics, Insights, & Technology is a team of researchers who use science and technology to inform our most important people decisions and to enable an industry leading employee experience.

This position will be primarily located in Falls Church, VA, with some flexibility for occasional virtual telecommuting.

For this position, we are looking for a dynamic I/O psychologist who seeks to understand the complexities of employee experience through various methodologies, with a track record of translating people research into compelling and actionable insights.

Competitive candidates will have experience leading the design and implementation of mature listening programs that target key career milestones, from candidate experience through all stages of employee movement and progression.

In this role, you will develop new listening channels with a particular focus on survey development as well as other advanced types of listening (e.g., crowdsourcing, digital focus groups, passive listening).

You will be responsible for leading all stages of design and implementation, including collaborating with teammates from other disciplines (e.g., data engineering, data science, competitive intelligence) to enable project success.

This position will also provide excellent opportunities to brief research findings to leaders - prior experience with executive audiences is preferred.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Aligned with our established strategy, develop new listening channels with particular emphasis on candidate experience and internal movement/advancement

Contribute to the refinement and enhancement of existing employee listening channels

Leverage new technology/tools to introduce new ways of assessing employee experience

Independently create psychometrically sound assessment tools to support research

Collaborate with data engineering professionals to support research deployment

Collaborate with data science professionals to incorporate data into advanced models

Provide project leadership and mentorship to less experienced colleagues

Distill research findings into a compelling story with actionable insights

Clearly communicate insights and recommendations to executive audiences

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (or closely related field) with 13 years of relevant experience; or PhD with 10 years of relevant experience

Experience leading employee experience research programs

Experience collaborating on projects with multiple teams, managing relationships, and communicating findings to audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience leading the design, implementation, analysis and insight delivery for advanced employee listening programs

Salary Range:

$146,000 - $219,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
