The ideal candidate will have experience in structural inspections, project management and business development, who can bring creative problem-solving skills balanced with a strong background in the field. This position requires the ability to manage projects, liaise with clients and government agencies, and direct teams. We offer plenty of opportunities for growth, working with professionals who have decades of experience developing industry-defining techniques.This position provides the chance to work on a variety of project that include:Ancillary and sign structure inspectionsAbove and below water bridge inspection including routine and fracture critical bridge inspections and reporting,bridge rehabilitation design, and bridge load ratings.Design of bridges, transportation structures, earth retention structures, and waterfront structuresOil & Gas refinery facilities inspections and repair designThe Senior Team Leader is responsible for leadership and development of inspection teams and assisting in the growth of the local office.Supervises above water and underwater bridge and ancillary design, inspection and evaluations.Reviews, analyzes, and resolves field and/or design issues.Responsible for engineering projects of varying size and complexity in field or office in accordance with plans and specifications.Performs complex difficult engineering computations and estimates in designing engineering projects.Prepares complete engineering plans or reports.Mentors field staff on the purpose and processes of inspections and inspection techniques.Makes independent decisions within a general framework.Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.Is active in technical societies.Is available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.Ensures that staff needing specialized training in health and safety procedures and practices receives such training and that safety is discussed as an important aspect of their work.Manages and provides leadership on inspection and design projects, including:proposal preparationproject budgetsproject schedules and timely completionproject qualityproject profitabilityQualificationsWHAT YOU NEED:Bachelor's degree and/or masters degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university and a minimum of 12 years of bridge or ancillary structure inspection experience.Must have passed the NHI/FHWA Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSProfessional Engineer (P.E.)NICET certification preferredValid drivers license#J-18808-Ljbffr
