**Grocery Store Clerk/Cashier**

Lower Lights Christian Health Center is currently seeking candidates for our *Jubilee Cafe and Market* in the Franklinton area of (West) Columbus! Successful candidates will possess either retail, restaurant, cafe and/or customer service experience. Previous cashiering and/or bilingual abilities are a huge plus! Working closely with the Grocery Store Manager to ensure the success of the store operations by delivering a great customer experience by providing attentive, friendly, knowledgeable service. Pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise while maintaining a neat, clean and visually appealing store. To safely handle or prepare products including ready to eat food items for the salad bar; following store policies and procedures. Perform cashiering job duties or tasks relating to the point of sale system. Perform other tasks as required in an efficient and safe manner, within store policy.
*****Work location is within Franklinton (West Columbus) and it's on the bus line! Hours for this position are full-time (8:00am- 5pm or 11:00am - 7:00pm.) and is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package upon hire!***
**QUALIFICATIONS -**
* Ability to perform basic math
* **Spanish fluency preferred**
* Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
* Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs
* Ability to work in varying temperatures
* Ability to work with fresh, dried and or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
* Ability to tolerate dust and chemical or cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties
* Ability to use a step stool or ladder to retrieve, or stock products from overhead racking, shelving, and storage areas
* Ability to operate/use equipment as needed for performing job duties; including but not limited to knives, scales, can opener, slicer, POS , utility carts, pallet jacks, safety cutters
* Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, efficient and helpful manner
* Ability to work cooperatively with others
* Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies
* Must be 18 years of age or older to operate or use equipment
