Job Title: School Security Guard
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team at MLMPI prep academy . The Security Guard will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors on campus. The ideal candidate will hold a valid D and G security license and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to excellence in security operations.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol the school campus on foot or by vehicle to deter unauthorized access, vandalism, and other security threats.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to suspicious activities or safety hazards.
- Enforce school policies and procedures related to visitor management, parking, and student conduct.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance from students, staff, or administrators.
- Conduct security screenings and bag checks as necessary to ensure compliance with school safety protocols.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as needed to address security concerns.
- Provide a visible presence and positive role model for students, promoting a culture of safety, respect, and responsibility.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports documenting security incidents, observations, and actions taken.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid D and G security license issued by the state regulatory agency.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and make sound decisions under stress.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Knowledge of security best practices, emergency response procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
