About the Company and Staff Accountant (Payroll) Opportunity:

  • Our 3x client is a unique and local non profit committed to assisting individuals with obtaining affordable housing. Currently, they are looking to add a temporary Staff Accountant (Payroll) to their accounting team to work from their Annapolis office!
  • For the right candidate, the Staff Accountant (Payroll) position can become permanent dependent on performance and fit. This organization offers great benefits once permanent.

  • This position is in office 100% in Annapolis, MD. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm. No remote flexibility.
  • Reports to the CFO

Duties for the Staff Accountant (Payroll) Include:

  • Complete balance sheets
  • Reconcile property accounts
  • Create journal entries
  • Review and run reports as needed
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process payroll on a biweekly basis
  • Maintain vendor 1099s
  • Other special projects as needed

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant (Payroll):

  • 5+ years' accounting AND payroll processing experience required
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related required
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word required
  • Experience using Sage and/or ADP a plus
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
