Children s Ministry Summary:

Design, develop and execute all aspects of children s ministry from birth to 5 th

grade. Responsible for managing and scheduling of all paid and volunteer nursery staff ensuring complete excellence in the love, care, and spiritual growth of the children.CHILDRENOffers complete support and trust to entire church staff promoting an environment of all working together towards the same ultimate goal of life transformation through a personal relationship with Jesus ChristDevelops and manage all paid and volunteer nursery staffProvides guidance and direction in all aspects of Children s MinistryEnsures appropriate child-to-staff ratio is within acceptable limits at all timesProvides appropriate and up-to-date security and safety measures for all components of nursery and Children s ministryProvides a loving and Christian educational environment that leads the children to discovering and developing a real relationship with JesusAssists in identifying, recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers within the Children s MinistryEducates and promotes to the church community the opportunities, purpose, and importance of children s ministryMaintains a yearly Children s Events calendar to be updated quarterly and promotes these events through various church communicationsManages Children s Ministry social media communications on Instagram and FacebookDevelops a virtual program when not able to meet in person, utilizing: videos and devotionals on youtube.com; Instagram Live; Zoom callsMaintains personal contact with families in the Children s Ministry via mail, phone calls, texts, and emailsUpdates/maintains a safe, creative, and fun children s ministry space including dcor, storage, and designSupervises a leadership program within Children s Ministry for 3 rd 5 th

grade childrenPlans an age appropriate missions experienceDevelops an annual budget and manages program to ensure spending stays within budgetDirects all Family Ministry events, including but not limited to: Wednesday nights, Children s Church on Sunday mornings, Easter Egg Hunt, VBS, Fall Festival, Christmas activities and summer programsEnsures that Safe Sanctuary policies are adhered to at all times to protect the safety of the children Other duties as assignedCONTINUING EDUCATIONAttends annually a Children s Ministry conference to gain inspiration and encouragement for developing relevant programsREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIESHigh school graduateAttended at least two years of collegeStrong commitment to excellence and sold out to the mission, purpose, and vision of CFUMC and the UMC DisciplineGenuine and contagious heart for GodExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDetail orientedAbility to be strategic and prioritize personal duties along with the duties of the volunteer staff with confidence and very limited guidanceAbility to work under tight time frames in stressful situationsStrong love and understanding of all childrenSatisfy requirements of Safe Sanctuary certificationJanuary 26 @ 3:00 pm
