The University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a House Service Technician to assist the Student Housing Maintenance team in daily upkeep, preservation and restoration of residence halls. To assist in the continual assessment of all Student Housing facilities and to report deficiencies to appropriate person or department. To perform routine repairs on all small appliances and to assist in the performance of general refinishing of surfaces. To supervise and provide on-boarding, guidance and support to irregular and part-time Student Housing Maintenance staff. To assist with training of Student Housing Maintenance Specialists for specialized projects, apartment restoration, and custodial or special assignments.
Hourly Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.19
High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of related experience required. The ideal candidate will have previous facilities experience and general mechanic skills (i.e. appliance repair, wall repair, and painting).
