Overview

San Francisco based firm is seeking a Project Architect with commercial interiors experience to join their design-centric studio. Winner of the American Prize of Architecture, this studio passionately dedicates itself to the renewal of beauty in architecture; project types include adaptive reuse, residential, mixed-use, workplace, biotech, civic (including music halls), sports, and master planning. Founded in the late 90s, the CEO has been featured as one of Silicon Valley s most distinguished start-up founders in the field of architecture. This 30+ person studio has recently been working with clients such as Netflix, Amazon & Facebook in the Bay Area.

At this studio, their Project Architects play a critical role in the design and delivery of exceptional architectural projects. On larger projects, the PA will team up with a PM to ensure a seamless project delivery on time and budget. This is a great opportunity to join a highly creative, collaborative team while working on inspiring architectural projects.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare project schedules and work plans. Plan and oversee project documentation

  • Apply firm standards and conduct ongoing QC review of the documents

  • Review project regarding construction standards, code, and ADA requirements

  • Collaborate with the project team members on design solutions and documentation

  • Resolve complex technical / design issues

  • Communicate with consultants and authorities having jurisdiction

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Project Architect on suitable projects in terms of type and size (commercial interiors experience is required)
  • Experience leading, managing, and mentoring a project team

  • Strong organization, communication, and relationship management skills

  • Commitment to high quality work and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam required and Indesign preferred

  • A well-developed design sense and excellent graphical skills

  • Strong understanding of building materials, details, and construction techniques.

  • Ability to develop architecturally resolved details that support ambitious design solutions

  • Dedication to delivery do what it takes.

  • Architectural license / on track to licensure
