Painter - Delaware Park Casino & Racing

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to spray, spackle, stain, line-stripe, and stencil.
Responsible for painting, repairing, and spackling walls, ceilings, floors, and exterior surfaces.
Monitor inventory and process purchase requisitions of materials and equipment.
Assists with general maintenance as assigned.
Wear personal safety equipment such as respiration when required.
Promotes outstanding customer relations.
Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Three (3) years experience required; Five (5) years experience in commercial and /or industrial painting.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Must be able to successfully complete and maintain the background check and licensing process, required by the Delaware Lottery during employment.
Ability to perform general maintenance of any equipment, i.e. tools, sprayers, and vehicles.
Must be able to lift Fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
Must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods of time.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position. American Sign Language is also an acceptable form of communication.
Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and/or execute written, verbal, and/or demonstrated directions, explanations, and guidance.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work in extremes of weather, on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding.
Must be able to remain flexible in an environment of constant change.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
