About the role
A Physical Security Specialist at Riot Platforms will be responsible for ensuring the physical security and safety of our company's premises, assets, and employees. They will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining security protocols and procedures to safeguard our people and property.
Provides Physical Security Support functions related to the activities and operations of Riot Platforms, Inc. in Corsicana, TX.
Essential Functions
* Conduct regular security assessments of Riot Platforms' physical facilities to identify vulnerabilities and recommend necessary improvements.
* Assist with the procurement, and maintenance of access control system and video management system, as well as the integration of other safety and security subsystems, i.e., intrusion detection. Submit deficiencies to the Physical Security Manager.
* Use Physical Access Control System (PACS) to manage, operate, and maintain the physical security systems associated with the control and monitoring of the access control.
* Coordinate with guard services and alarm monitoring companies to ensure the efficient and effective provision of security services.
* Support group building project security requirements with processing access control requests, site visits, and document review.
* Assist the Physical Security Manager and the Director of Security, supporting security related tasks.
* Train and educate employees on security awareness, protocols, and procedures, fostering a culture of security awareness.
* Stay current with advances in physical security technology and recommend and implement new systems or upgrades as necessary.
* Performs other related duties as required.

The minimum requirements to become a Physical Security Specialist are as follows:
* Must have a valid driver's license or state ID.
* Speak, read, and write English. (Spanish preferred)
* Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Work effectively with limited supervision.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.
* The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk but will be required to occasionally stand and walk in an office setting.
* Squatting, bending, reaching above shoulder level, talk and hear.
* The employee may be required to push or pull and lift up to 20 pounds.
Education and Experience
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree or Certification in IT, Cyber Security, Criminal Justice, or another related field preferred.
* At least 2 years of experience working in factory security similar industry-based environment
* Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience performing a combination of vulnerability and risk assessments, physical security inspections, and physical security surveys.
* Certifications in physical security, such as Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM), are a plus.
