**Description**
Glen Gery has a new opportnity for a motivated Yard Worker/ Forklift Operaator to join our Baltimore Masonry Supply Center.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Loading and unloading of delivery trucks and customer vehicles with brick, block and purchased products
* Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
* Keep yard and warehouse neat and organized
* Maintain accurate inventory and notify appropriate personnel when materials need to be ordered. Verify and resolve any discrepancies in inventory
* Safeguard and maintain company investment in inventory during delivery and storage
* Advise others and help resolve brick center order fulfillment issues and opportunities
* Monitor equipment and ensure routine and emergency maintenance keeps the equipment in safe operational mode
* Ensure proper daily paperwork for deliveries is completed and maintained
* Assist office personnel when needed with answering phones, generating tickets and assisting customers
* Ensure compliance with all State and Federal Laws
* Other duties as may be temporarily or permanently assigned.
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:**
* Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and customer service oriented
* Good organizational, math, computer and clerical skills
* Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy yard equipment in a safe and effective manner
* Self-motivated and able to work effectively without close supervision
* Knowledge of building products, proper storage, safe handling and transportation methods
* Safety conscious
* Able to lift up to 100 pounds
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
* High school diploma with related technical training including forklift certification
* Two to three years of material handling and/or delivery experience, preferably in the building products industry
* Knowledge of masonry and building products preferred
