Beers on the Frontier: Oregon Trail Party - Event Volunteer

Job Details

On Saturday, April 20, from 5:30-8:30 pm the Wyoming State Museum is hosting an afterhours, 21+ event all about the history of the Oregon Trail. "Beers and the Frontier" is an opportunity for adults to get hands-on, close-up experiences with the museum's vast collection of Oregon Trail artifacts and replicas. Guests will also meet experts from other organizations, play games, make art, and discover if their party would have survived the long, arduous journey. Did we mention free beer and wine?

With so many things going on, we ll need quite a few volunteers to make it happen. Volunteers will help set up the event, facilitate activity tables and crafts, help with event check-in, run a photo booth, and more! If you re looking for a fun, high-energy volunteer opportunity, this is for you.

The event consists of two 3-hour shifts or one 5-hour shift for those who would like to help with the entire event. Any individual who is passionate about education, the environment, museums, community events, crafts, and FUN should feel encouraged to volunteer. We welcome and appreciate people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities!

Benefits:

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop event skills and help our community become more connected with the museum and its exciting resources. Snacks will be available for all volunteers. A dinner break (and food) will be provided for volunteers who work the entire 5-hour shift.

Volunteering in this role may lead to future opportunities working in the museum s collections, education, and community engagement departments!
