Position Summary: The DCCC is hiring a Deputy Analytics Director for the DCCC's Independent Expenditure. The Deputy Analytics Director will support program evaluation and data analysis for the DCCC's Independent Expenditure unit, including but not limited to generating target lists and samples from the voter file, microtargeting model validation and usage, analyzing polling data and samples, and other analytics work as needed. At least one cycle of relevant data, targeting, and/or statistics experience is required - this is not an entry level position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain internal polling calendars and regular reports
- Track and analyze trends and key metrics in polling data to develop insights and inform strategy
- Download poll sample from voter file to be shared with pollsters
- Provide strategic guidance to Analytics team and other departments based on findings from reports, analyses, and public data
- Working directly with voter file data, model scores and research to define targets for direct and indirect voter outreach, including the composition of the targets, the method of communication and advising on the message
- Collecting and analyzing data that tracks progress to strategic imperatives for victory
- Other duties as needed
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and condense data from a wide range of sources and present data-driven recommendations to a range of stakeholders in a clear manner
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with web-based voter file tools, such as VAN and Catalist
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: polling and survey research, program evaluation, individual-level modeling, and/or television advertising
- Proficiency with R, Python, SQL, or another comparable programming language is strongly recommended
- Draws from team members' strengths, empowering them to maximize their talents; contributes where needed to achieve and exceed goals; mentors and guides colleagues with regular feedback and recognition; clearly lays out vision and expectations to the team
