Description
Responsible for the delivery, cleaning, repair, set-up and pick up of DME equipment to home care patients within a prescribed and assigned geographical area.
- Responsible for entering necessary information into Brightree including sales orders, weekly oxygen phone log, all phone calls received either for employees or patient care and all other patients activites.
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Is prompt and regular in attendance, works scheduled hours and complies with Human Resources policies.
- Assists as needed or directed by supervisor with the following but not limited to:
- Deliver/pickup DME equipment.
- Service and clean all equipment.
- Assist in DME van maintenance.
- Weekly cleaning of DME warehouse and van (or more frequently as needed.)
- Answers the phone, takes detailed messages while entering them in Brightree.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience.
- Markets SCDME and Patterson Health Center in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Assumes other duties within scope of training as assigned.
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings as required.
- Returns and unloads equipment at the warehouse facility, assuring proper segregation of clean and dirty equipment within the warehouse. Items are to be cleaned by the end of the week.
- Completes delivery and pick up paperwork promptly and accurately, including route sheets, manifests and patient/client documentation, returning paperwork to the appropriate facility personnel. All paperwork needs to be done by the end of the work week.
- Clean and stock warehouse and van by the end of the week, assists in inventory count, as needed.
- Performs weekly preventative maintenance and vehicle log checks, as required.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Be available as needed for backup and on-call regarding patient DME needs. This includes evenings and/or weekends.
Requirements
Valid, unrestricted drivers license
Prefer one year experience in hospital/business setting or related field
