About the Employer

Oak Grove School District has a total student enrollment of approximately 8,800 students from grades TK-8. We have 18 school campuses along with a TK-8 Virtual Learning Academy (VLA). Six out of eighteen schools receive Title I funds. The size of the schools range from approximately 730 students to 270 students. The percentage of English Learners is 29% representing 56 languages spoken in the District.

Oak Grove School District's focus is driven by the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) and school site-specific SPSA (Single Plan for Student Achievement) which identifies short, intermediate, and long-term goals. First and foremost in all activities is the safety of students as well as student success in the areas of math and reading/language arts interwoven with science, social studies and visual and performing arts. Student performance goals have been integrated into the state and federal accountability systems. Job Description / Essential Elements:

To assist in the serving and preparation of large quantities of food items and to maintain food service equipment and facilities in clean and sanitary conditions. This job class provides cleaning and serving functions as well as assisting in the more technical areas of food service operations as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of basic mathematics calculations. Skill to learn proper sanitation and safety requirements for institutional food service operations; to operate assigned service appliances and equipment in a safe and effective manner; the basic procedures, methods and equipment used in the preparation and serving of large quantities of food.
