**Work Shift**

1 - First Shift****

The Inventory Coordinator coordinates the flow, inventory levels, replenishment, and allocation to production of manufactured and purchased materials required for production activities.****

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Organizes and manages manufacturing and/or purchased parts inventory according to Standard Work, or in a logical and orderly manner.

2. Responsible for inventory replenishment activities and the coordination of inventory level adjustments based on production schedules. Works with purchasing and area managers to maintain appropriate inventory levels.

3. Tracks and expedites lost or missing parts for internal & external customers.

4. Organizes and delivers parts kits from machine shops, supermarkets, or central receiving to internal and external customers according to standard work or referenced from the bill of materials.

5. Keys any transactions into the computer as material is issued using Glovia, or follows standard work for order processes where appropriate.

6. Ensures accuracy of all transactions including back orders through examining P.O.s and investigating all aspects of the order to discover any and all discrepancies, missing or excess items, or any other issues that arise through the examination of the transaction.

7. Coordinates production activity with regards to parts going to other plants including Parts Center.

8. Involved in ECN process follow through on the production floor, and associated scrap levels.

9. Creates, organizes, interprets and distributes computer generated material to the appropriate production personnel where necessary.

10. Actively involved in the maintenance of product line Bill of Materials.

11. Coordinates with outside vendors for completion of outsourcing processes such as heat treat and zinc plating.

12. Must be able to read, interpret, analyze, measure and track a variety of reports in daily activities to accomplish objectives and further develop the process.

13. Supports 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offers suggestions and makes improvements that achieve the departments performance board metrics.

**Education and/or Experience**

- High school diploma or GED required.

- Less than 1 year inventory related experience and/or training.

**Other Skills and Abilities**

- Read blueprints.

- Write routine reports and intra-department communications.

- Calculate figures and apply concepts of fractions, percentages and ratios.

- Effectively present information verbally and written and respond to questions from groups of managers and suppliers.

- Perform basic Microsoft Office skills, CAD and other software.

- Perform problem solving techniques and root cause analysis.

- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action for a given situation.
