The Role
Our Banking and Financial Services (BFS) Consulting practice is looking for Business Analyst/s to join our team while we work on an exciting platform modernization engagement. This role is on-site at a client location.
We re looking for a Consultant who can deliver within Cognizant s Five Pillars of Consulting: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a senior consultant, this means creating high-quality client deliverables and taking ownership (with supervision) of producing client content and meeting client expectations; developing an expertise in your functional area, including obtaining certifications; contributing to Client Satisfaction and/or RFPs; supporting leadership and contributing to content development for service offerings; and participating in People Care initiatives and exhibiting personal leadership at all times. Responsibilities
- Support solution delivery lifecycle including detailing features, collaborate with IT developers, vendors, and implementation team, support testing efforts and facilitate UAT. Resource management for the project work effort vs available team capacity.
- Collaborate closely with the wider technology teams to coordinate interdependencies and troubleshoot/resolve issues and understand overlaps of teams and applications helping to identify cross-dependencies & cross-impacts at earlier stages of discussion embracing dependency management process for maintaining timeliness of the project.
- Analyzes the needs & problems of a business & proposes solutions to improve its performance and efficiency.
- Business analysis feasibility assessment covering methodology, budget, & schedule, key stakeholders, elicitation techniques, and quality assurance methods.
- Translate business needs into system requirements and configurations.
- Ownership at program/project level by defining the functional expectations & confirming the feasibility of the proposed solutions.
- Supporting adherence to Audit & Controls timeliness.
- Coordinate, prioritize & track control activities with delivery teams.
- Open Audit Issues and Risks Issue documentation and tracking as needed.
- Writing clear and well-structured business requirements documents. Maintain project documentation (implementation plan, issues log, process maps, etc.) and documents process flows and gaps.
- Create and maintain appropriate project plans & progress.
- Team project Wiki documentation facilitation & creation
Qualification
- Bachelor s or master s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 6 years of Business Analyst experience
- Lending experience in Banking & Finance sector is mandatory
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Strong SQL skills, Data Analysis skills, Agile Experience (Epics, Stories, Working in Scrum/Sprint), Python (good to have)
- Experience in banking or financial industry
- Strong technical background and the ability to dive into the technical details
- Demonstrated experience problem solving and developing products from scratch
- Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model
- Ability to handle ambiguity and white space.
- Demonstrated examples of building and launching products
