Associate Area Manager


Job Details

Position reports into Regional Sales Manager and/or District Manager. Responsible for working synergistically with Area Manager to drive sales revenue growth and provide service related needs to maintain existing business. Makes sales presentations within the assigned territory to elicit use of ssur orthopedic products and services to achieve sales goals within the defined territory. Primary customer calls points: all departments within the hospital setting where ssur orthopedic products are procured and utilized (e.g., Orthopedics, Rehab Services, Emergency Dept., Neuro/Trauma, Materials Management, etc.) and private groups with the focus on Orthopedic Clinics, O&P and DME providers. Develop and build relationships with various clinical/business decision makers to expand ssur core customer base and product sales market share. Help to develop effective sales strategies to achieve sales goals and objectives within designated territory.


Responsibilities:

  • Attains or exceeds quarterly and annual territory sales quota.
  • Operational support- Assist Area Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the territory. This includes ensuring smooth functioning of processes, resolving operational issues and implementing improvements, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Area Manager to develop strategies to drive sales growth, increase profitability and optimize resource allocation.
  • Makes scheduled personalized business solutions presentations to customers within the assigned territory to elicit use of ssur products and services to achieve sales goals.
  • Provides exceptional customer service at all times. Address customer feedback and complaints promptly. Implement customer retention strategies to enhance overall customer experience.
  • Utilizes all available tools to effectively execute the sales plan within the assigned territory, to include other sales team resources (e.g., National Accounts and Empower).
  • Initiative-taking in cost containment and management of expenses.
  • Understands and applies industry, technical, and competitive knowledge to overcome objections and effectively implement our sales strategies.
  • Maintains an acceptable level of Sales Effectiveness Training (SET) competency.
  • Works collaboratively with the local Independent Representative organization (if applicable) and other distribution partners within the territory to ensure sales goals are attained.
  • Maintains, analyzes and uses territory/customer reports and CRM databases to effectively and efficiently organize and plan territory priorities and activities.
  • Keeps management informed of customer and competitive activity, which could impact the sales or marketing position of our products.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Seeks assistance when faced with potential legal or regulatory issues.
  • Maintains a professional image and demeanor consistent with the image of ssur.
  • Fulfills all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
  • Maintains confidentiality of company data including new product information, marketing strategies, discount programs, pricing information and other business proprietary information.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree required, preferably in a life science or business discipline.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with data driven approach to decision making.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to maintain a rigorous travel schedule.
  • Ability to travel 50%


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $51,557 - $63,714 + commission + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
