Spherion is seeking a reliable and hardworking 2nd shift (4p-4a) Material Handler-Loader to join the team. The Material Handler-Loader is responsible for filling customer orders accurately and efficiently, using both manual and powered equipment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely manner.
Roles and Responsibilities:- Fill orders from tickets or voice according to set quotas
- Use pallet jacks and/or riding jacks to manually fill orders
- Identify products by description and quantity, and transport them to the staging area
- Check for accuracy in picking and maintain general housekeeping in the work area
- Complete daily inspections of powered equipment
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Sort and place materials or items on pallets according to predetermined sequence
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
- Count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to Company standards
Requirements:- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with [Company Name] safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is essential
- Ability to read and write
- High school or equivalent
- Forklift and electric riding pallet jack experience preferred
- Ability to repeatedly grasp, stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. continuously throughout a 12 hour shift
- Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, or a flexible schedule as required
- Must have a positive attitude, be dependable, and demonstrate initiative
- Must be energetic and performance-driven
