Fueled by innovation, talent and ambition, the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking civilian professionals prepared to deploy war-winning capabilitiesforthe United States Air Force.The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking fora Full-TimeOPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST/SENIOR COST ESTIMATOR, NH-1515-04to work for theAir Force Materiel Command (AFMC) intheAir ForceLife Cycle Management Center(AFLCMC), F-35 Joint Program Office, Arlington, VA or Wright-Patterson AFB, OHPosition location: Arlington, VA or Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, negotiated at selectionSalary Range for Arlington, VA: $139,395 - $181,216Salary Range for Wright-Patterson AFB, OH: $126,717 - $164,735Teleworkeligible positionPCS is authorizedRecruitment or Relocation incentive may be authorizedQualifications:In this positionyou willserve as an Operations Research Analyst/Senior Cost Estimator within an ACAT I Joint Program overseeing US Air Force, US Navy, US Marine Corps, and multiple International Partner requirements.Duties for this position typically include:Serves as a Senior Cost Estimator with a particular focus on Sustainment Cost (Operating&Support (O&S) and Production Support (IPS/ILS))Works with designated IPTs and/or Program Management Office(s) to understand their program requirements, develop data sources, and deliver cost estimates, cost models, and formal documentation necessary to ensure sound estimates and analysis inform program management decisionsSupports multiple US Services and International Partner Budget/POM processes through annual estimate updates, recurring cost estimate drills, data requests, etc.Leads a small and diverse team of cost analysts; ensures sound estimating methodologies, quality inputs, and reasonable estimate results inform Sustainment Cost products for various customers and stakeholders across the F-35 Joint Program OfficeRequirements of theposition:Must possess recent relevant ACAT I program cost estimating experience, with a preference for Sustainment cost estimating experienceU.S. CitizenshipObtain&maintain SECRET Security clearanceDoDFM certification Level 3 (not required at time of hire, but must be obtained within 2-years or appropriate time extension waiver granted)DAWIA Certification BUS-Cost Estimating Advanced (not required at time of hire, but must be obtained within 2-years or appropriate time extension waiver granted)This is a professional position that demands a positive education requirement. Applicants must meet US OPM qualification requirements for position classified in the job series: 1515.Degree: in operation research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operation research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter course requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.
