Shop Technician/Quality Delivery Inspector
The Westinghouse Parts business is located in New Stanton, Pennsylvania (USA). They supply more than 100,000 nuclear parts and products yearly to nuclear plants across the country and around the world.
At the New Stanton facility, Westinghouse custom machines and manufactures replacement parts. They support the existing fleet of nuclear plants; new plant builds and Department of Energy facilities. The New Stanton facility also designs and manufactures electrical switchgear and panels for over 15 different AP1000 plant commodities.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Shop Technician/Quality Delivery Inspector.
Your day to day:
The qualified candidate must have the ability to perform inspections, examinations, and tests according to documented procedures and industry practices.
Also, must possess the skills to organize and manage work related to outgoing deliveries including scanning/reviewing inspection files against customer requirements, completing packaging and labeling requirements.
Must be familiar with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, optical comparators, force gauges, crimper, solder, and electrical test equipment.
A Shop Technician also must be able to determine if the calibration status of inspection and measuring equipment is current; that the measuring and test equipment (M&TE) is in proper condition; and that the inspection, examination, and test procedures are approved.
Who you are:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Associates degree related to electrical, mechanical or machining, or equivalent preferred.
Qualification and certification for Inspection to ANSI N45.2.6 Certification to Visual VT-1 Mechanical Experience with Inspection of electrical parts is preferred.
1-4 years of experience working with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining, or inspection skills.
Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawing, or machining plus required mathematics.
Computer skills (Microsoft, SAP, PEGA) preferred.
Nuclear Industry experience preferred.
