firstPro is seeking an experienced payroll specialist to join a great team in the Marietta area. You will be responsible for start to finish payroll for ~1000 employees utilizing UKG payroll software. This position works on a hybrid schedule (3 days in 2 remote) and pays up to $80k. Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll accurately and efficiently using UKG.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in UKG, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay or deductions.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and other earnings according to company policies and collective bargaining agreements (if applicable).
- Ensure timely withholding, remittance, and filing of all federal, state, and local taxes.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management and regulatory purposes.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on current payroll legislation and regulations.
- Continuously improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
- Proven experience working with UKG (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready) is a must.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, calculations, deductions, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
