Job Description
**Corn Receiver- Marshall, MN**
This is a full-time hourly position.
**Basic Function:** Observes unloading corn for visual evaluation, properly weighs trucks, enters order numbers, and maintains the corn receiving control room and related areas in a neat orderly condition.
**Tools:** Camera, thermometer, computer, corn cleanser, scales, sample screener, legs and drags
**Materials:** Corn products, cleaning material
**General Job Duties:**
- Monitors safety interlocks and alarms such as dust collectors, and equipment jams.
- Understands lock-out/tag-out/try-out procedures and confined space procedures and monitors compliance regularly, reporting safety discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Works closely with grower members and other non-employees, maintaining effective communications and presenting positive company image.
- Report recurrent problems or a circumstance with effect area GMPs as required.
- Ensures that all dust collection systems, environmental monitoring, and their alarms are working correctly, and if not, reports problems immediately to the appropriate individual.
- Understands the entire corn receiving system, including the pit areas, conveyors, silo equipment, sampling, and alarms.
- Handles product rejections according to established guidelines, and reports rejections immediately to the Area Manager or appropriate quality control individual.
- Monitors the silo inventory, direct corn movement form silos, and keeps accurate records of corn shipment receipts.
- May obtain Maintenance support to correct department problems by requiring a work order by direct contact with supervisor.
- Provides training to and instructs other relief employees in following established department guidelines.
- Maintains the corn receiving control room and related areas in a neat and orderly condition.
- May conduct light maintenance duties on equipment as required.
- Perform duties in a safe manner, utilizing all safety equipment, and successfully completes all safety certification requirements.
- May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.
