Facilities Assistant II
W2 Contract
Salary Range: $62,400 - $72,800 per year
Location: Hayward, CA - Onsite Role
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all facility equipment, including HVAC systems, vacuum pumps, and generators.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with the facility's equipment and infrastructure to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Assist with facility improvements and renovations as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure facility efficiency.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational or technical training in facilities maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in the biotech industry
- Experience with working in a laboratory environment, facilities maintenance, and basic mechanical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills
- Committed to following all safety standards and procedures
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Able to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
- Willingness to be on call for emergencies.
