Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of safety programs and policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate safety training sessions and ensure all personnel are adequately trained.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor subcontractors' adherence to safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Support the Safety Manager in promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Communicate safety requirements and updates to project teams and subcontractors.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in construction safety coordination or related role.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, DOT).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR).
- Experience with safety management software and systems.
- Understanding of highway construction processes and equipment.
