About the RoleThe Company is seeking a Vice President of Government Operations to lead its government affairs office and manage the development and execution of legislative and other government affairs priorities. The successful candidate will be the most senior government affairs professional, with a primary focus on the Defense, Access, and Vocational segments. Key responsibilities include building strong internal and external relationships, advocating for the company with government officials, overseeing the Political Action Committee, and ensuring that all government affairs activities are conducted ethically and legally. The role also involves deep engagement with key Members of Congress, their staff, and Executive Branch personnel to advance the company's business objectives.Applicants for this role should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of fifteen years of experience in government, legislative affairs, and industry. A deep understanding of the company's business and the ability to support the execution of its strategy and business objectives are essential. The ideal candidate will have a background that includes experience on a Capital Hill committee or a personal staff with jurisdiction over related authorization or appropriations, or experience in DoD legislative liaison offices with significant interaction with members of Congress and committee staff.
