Process Operator


Job Details

Operators have the overall responsibility of operating the
plant in a safe, environmentally sound and efficient manner.
Position requires strict adherence to environmental laws and regulations

Production schedules and product specifications must be met and maintained

Coordination with and preparations for maintenance required

Overall care of the unit is an operator s responsibility

Writing work repair orders, housekeeping and filling out routine reports and logs are the responsibilities of unit operators.
Perform the Lock Out - Tag Out for all of the units maintenance items
Attend and contribute to regular monthly safety meetings
Implement the STOP WORK POLICY
Write, review and follow job procedures
Reporting and mitigating any leaks, exposures, accidents, spills or fugitive emissions
Perform inspections on all equipment and log the findings of those inspections
Maintaining unit parameters according to all unit permits
Proper disposal of all wastes
Report near misses or incidents
Write regular and safety work orders
Use of proper PPE 12
Communicate with all departments and supervision
Know how to implement the Emergency Action Plan
Attend all initial and periodic training (RCRA, DOT, etc.)
Participation in risk assessment audits (PHA, CTA, JSA, etc.) as applicable
Basic knowledge of pressures, process flows, and temperatures, Poses a good safe attitudeGood computer skills
Ability to research reference material (MSDS, Product sheets, etc.)
Minimum Requirements
Process
Technology degree

OR

High
school diploma or GED and five years of process chemical experience
Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC)
