Fabrication 1

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.
Key performance areas
As the Fabrication 1, you will be responsible for cleaning, grinding, cutting, welding, and repairing components from aftermarket equipment as well as fabricating new parts from engineered specifications or customer direction.
Additionally, the Fabrication 1 will work with fabrication repair processes including:
- Oxy/fuel cutting techniques
- All position welding
- Engineered drawing interpretation
- Appropriate critical thinking skills
Your profile The Fabrication 1 should possess a technical diploma or certification in welding with a minimum of 3 years of related experience with industry-specific equipment. The ability to work as part of an integrated team and be self-motivated is highly recommended. The qualified candidate will demonstrate effective customer relations, active listening skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The flexibility to do shift work is required and the ability to travel to customer sites is requested.
The Fabrication 1 must be capable to progress from the basic level to advanced levels requiring minimal supervision.
