You'll work closely with your client to understand their questions and needs, and then utilize understanding of the intersection of data science and healthcare delivery to provide actionable insights to Healthcare Operations and Clinical SMEs. You'll work to rapidly identify relevant data sources, assess fitness for the problem at hand, analyze gaps, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help VA leadership make informed decisions. The world can't wait.You Have:* Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining* Experience in data science, statistics, or machine learning in a professional setting* Experience with large and disparate datasets, including developing data queries and data models* Experience with languages or tools, including SQL, R or Python, or Microsoft Power BI* Experience in building and tuning algorithms, including using common data cleaning and machine learning techniques* Knowledge of healthcare data, healthcare system operations, health plans, and medical groups* Ability to obtain a security clearance* Bachelor's degreeNice If You Have:* 2+ years of experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL/NoSQL* Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2* Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs* Knowledge of data management and data infrastructure tools and techniques* Knowledge of public data sources for healthcare provider KPIs* Ability to work independently or in a team to derive insights from unstructured healthcare data and effectively communicate those insights to operational and clinical SMEs* Ability to take initiative as well as a proactive problem-solving approach* Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including explaining analyses to a variety of audiences to communicate project goals, plans, and progress* Master's degreeClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Create Your Career:Grow With UsYour growth matters to us-that's why we offer a variety of ways for you to develop your career. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
