The Network Engineer 3's primary duty involves design work, specifically designing a tailored solution in order to meet a specific client request. This position frequently anticipates problems and analyzes ways to mitigate the risk, as well as articulate the business value and impact of advanced technical and non-technical information and understands when to escalate issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides effective production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogue.
- Documents small-to medium-scale projects and delivers presentations with minimal supervision.
- Dissects complex situations and refocuses on critical technology tasks.
- Proven experience as an IP/DHCP/DNS Administrator managing and maintaining Infoblox solutions in an enterprise environment, preferably in a financial or technology setting.
- Strong expertise in IP addressing management, DHCP configuration, and DNS administration using Infoblox appliances.
- In-depth understanding of DNS protocols, DNSSEC, and DNS best practices.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex networking issues related to IP addressing, DHCP, and DNS services.
- Knowledge of network security principles, including secure DNS and DNS firewalls.
- Familiarity with IPv4 and IPv6 address allocation and subnetting.
- Familiarity with enterprise network routing protocols on Cisco and Arista product line; protocols OSPF and BGP.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a federal environment and adhere to federal guidelines and security requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a systematic and detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting.
- Maintains current professional and technical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Keeps abreast of current and emerging technologies, how they integrate and drive value for Huntington .

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience with DNS; Equivalent experience will also be considered
- Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design
- Advanced understanding of performance and monitoring
- Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology
- Advanced understanding of best practices and HNB policies
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Technical certifications as required, CIST Certified Infoblox Support Technician, CICA Certified Infoblox Core Administrator
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and ability to work both independently and in a group.
