Job Title: Assistant Product Coordinator/Merchandising Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Product Development:
- Assist in sourcing materials and new products, both domestically and internationally (specifically China).
- Coordinate with global suppliers, negotiate specifications, costs, delivery schedules, freight arrangements, quality standards, and lab testing.
- Track and manage key timeline deliverables, purchasing deadlines, and shipping schedules.
- Data Management and Analysis:
- Maintain pricing files, cost sheets, and margin spreadsheets to ensure accurate financial records.
- Track samples throughout the development process, from concept to production, including art file submission and licensor approval.
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management:
- Place initial orders for new material components and products developed under custom programs.
- Monitor initial orders, ensuring timely arrival of goods through coordination with vendors, freight forwarders, and receiving teams.
- Provide sales support for specialty domestic customers by managing customer web-based data profiles and product information.
- Vendor Relations and Project Management:
- Understand and adhere to specific vendor manuals to direct product packaging, logistics, and invoicing for mass-market customers.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or supply chain management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing company, with a focus on consumer product sourcing and inventory management.
- Proficiency in business mathematics, including percentages, margins, cube dimensions, product costs, and freight calculations.
- Experience with Innovator software or similar product lifecycle management tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, @functions, data sorting, and basic macros.
- Familiarity with Google Drive shared documents and coordination.
- Experience, interest, and aptitude for Enterprise systems such as Sage 100 or equivalent.
