Title: Licensed (Clinical) Social Worker or Counselor- Psychiatric Liaison - Intensive Outpatient Program
Location: MacNeal Hospital
Shift: Full Time Days
Intensive Outpatient Hours: Monday - Friday 8a - 4:30p

Loyola Medicine Transport is based at Loyola University Medical Center and is part of a three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital.
The Behavioral Health team is seeking a Licensed (Clinical) Social Worker/Counselor for our Intensive Outpatient Clinic. This future colleague should have the passion to provide advanced behavioral health knowledge and skills including direct and indirect assessment and care to patients and families, crisis intervention, support group facilitation, behavioral health education and problem solving in all clinical care areas.
What you ll do:
Conducts group therapy sessions and performs case management responsibilities for behavioral health patients participating in intensive outpatient programming. Completes comprehensive psychiatric and substance use assessments to determine patients' individual needs. Continuously evaluates level of risk and protective factors. Collaborates with Psychiatric NP and Psychiatrist regarding treatment planning, discharge planning and clinical staffing for all patients. Conducts in-services, provides patient referrals, and completes insurance pre-authorizations and utilization review process. Provides crisis intervention as necessary. Acts as a liaison to community behavioral health facilities and private practitioners. Markets outpatient programs to community referral sources and healthcare consumers. Provision and promotion of the delivery of patient care in accordance with Behavioral Health Department standards of quality care consistent with accepted standards of practice. Timely completion of documentation consistent with established policy and procedures within patient medical record.

What you ll need for this job:
- Master's degree required in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
- Required - Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Master's Degree and partial licensure.
- Preferred Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Master's Degree and full clinical license two years post Master's.
