Hourly base pay rate is $17.40 - $26.06/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

We're hiring an Automotive Claims Specialist II to join our vehicle operations team at Cox Automotive. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of resolving customer concerns in the fast-paced world of vehicle purchases. You'll dive into the heart of the matter as you research claims, assess repair costs and skillfully negotiate adjustments.

What You'll Do

You'll navigate buyer-seller interactions, collaborating with internal team and external partners to orchestrate the return of vehicles for meticulous inspections. Here's more on what that'll look like:

Investigate arbitration claims by collecting, comparing and evaluating required information.

Inspect vehicles to assess repair needs and authorize second opinions when necessary.

Manage various claims involving mechanical issues, structural damage, title problems and undisclosed vehicle damage, all subject to arbitration.

Collaborate with internal departments such as titles, accounting and dealer services].

Partner with the post-sale inspection entry team, vehicle entry/CR writers, front office and security to conduct thorough arbitration investigations.

Adhere to National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) guidelines to reach well-founded conclusions.

Review customer claims against company policies and account-specific guidelines; provide financial advice on arbitration decisions.

Facilitate communication between customers, auctions and dealers to gather necessary information for mutually agreeable resolutions.

Manage arbitration settlements or adjustments between buyers and sellers.

Who You Are

Minimum:

A high school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Prior experience in conflict resolution.

The ability to adapt in a fluid and changing environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred:

Automotive or body shop experience.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
