GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company s products and/or related services. Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers via phone sales, customer visits, account management, customer service and retention strategies.

CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify potential accounts through studying current trends and needs for growth; research of territories and markets; create and compile lists of key potential accounts; analyze opportunities.
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization s products/services.
  • Provide comprehensive education to end users on the application and benefits of our products.
  • Ensure distribution partners are equally well-informed, creating advocates for Multicoat's systems.
  • Initiate sales processes through cold calling over the phone to build and develop relationships with qualifying potential customers.
  • Contribute to outstanding reputation of the company by always putting the customer first; treating other employees with respect and dignity; responding quickly to requests and needs of customers; conducting business with highest integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for support in research, strategy, and problem resolution while maintaining a balance of autonomy and teamwork in sales efforts.
  • Close business by overcoming objections; providing a solution driven sales plans; creating value for the customers; finding key decision makers.
  • Develops accounts by introducing and expanding product lines; highlighting product features and benefits; training customer's sales teams.
  • Grows territory by adding new accounts; introducing new products to existing accounts; growing business for existing accounts; introducing products to additional locations of existing accounts.
  • Manage territory by graciously handling issues that arise; visiting and building relationships with key accounts; calling accounts who fall off order averages; retaining accounts who are at risk. Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Must possess sales experience Possession of at least a high school diploma is required and a post-secondary degree is preferred. Must successfully pass all required background screenings and obtain the requisite security clearance(s) to gain access to locations which require more stringent background scrutiny (example: military bases/installations). Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. use of protective gear). Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach). Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software. Must maintain a valid Driver's license to have the ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel domestically and internationally by plane. Overnight travel may be required.
