Job SummaryIndividual contributor, assists with design production of building infrastructure projectsSupport the electrical and lighting design of systems from various projects-including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systemsSelect equipment based on recommendations of Project Designer/Engineer and prepare equipment schedulesProvide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by draftersResearch design options, code issues and ask general questions of code officials and document findings for Project Designer/EngineerPerform construction administration and field investigation tasks for lighting, power and fire alarm systemsEnsure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standardsKeep Project Manager/ Sr. Engineer informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional servicesQualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar0-2 years of internship experiencePreferred experience in AutoCAD & Revit Preferred understanding of applicable design and building codesContributes in increasingly independent ways to the success of projects by:Willingly accepting supervision Learning how we do things Mastering basic and routine job functions Showing directed creativity and initiative Demonstrating success on a portion of a larger project or task Performing well under time and budget pressure
