The Financial Analyst, Grant COE will demonstrate a concern for the needs and expectations of customers and make them a priority, while applying creativity to respond to requests and questions. The applicant must be able to draw correct and realistic conclusions based on data and information. Additionally, the applicant should ask the right questions, delve into many situations with inquisition and determination, and be results driven to ensure that the end-product is successful. The applicant should be able to provide guidance to program staff as well as be able to provide constructive feedback that will help shape and educate program staffs' understanding of government compliance regulations.

Responsibilities:

The Financial Analyst will:

  • Assist the supervisor with pre-award activities for assigned government contracts
  • Review assigned government contracts to become familiar with compliance requirements.
  • Review assigned PARs (Program Activity Report) and assist in preparation of adjusting entries to Oracle's general ledger for accurate financial reporting.
  • May review and analyze program expenditures for assigned contracts for accuracy
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations for assigned contracts to ensure allocations and approvals are completed.
  • May prepare financial reports and vouchers as assigned
  • Participate in monthly Geo Finance Program Status calls.
  • May review the monthly account receivable reconciliations


Qualifications:

Requirements for this position include a bachelor's degree in the field of accounting, finance or business administration and 3-5 years of work experience. Candidates with knowledge of 2 CFR 200 preferred. Candidates must have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in Oracle accounting system and Business Objects is a plus. Candidate must be detail oriented; possess good analytical skills and must be able to interact and communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.

For those candidates located in Colorado and Connecticut, the salary range for this position is: $50,000 - $60,000
