DescriptionRedland, a growth orientated and industry leading consulting firm providing Civil Engineering, Land Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Construction Management services to the development community, is seeking qualified candidates for Project Engineer(s).Redland offers industry-leading benefits including competitive compensation; incentive-based bonuses; 401k retirement plan; health, vision, and dental insurance; Redland University training program, flex-time; 20 days of Paid-Time-Off; 9 paid holidays; a sabbatical leave/bonus program; and a collaborative, comfortable and relaxed working environment.As a Project Engineer, you will provide, at a minimum, the following duties:Prepare civil engineering designs, technical calculations and reports, construction documents, specifications, entitlement documents, and permit applications for residential subdivisions, commercial & industrial developments, multifamily developments, and other private land development projects.Perform site analysis, project feasibility, material and code research, material quantity estimation, and other supporting documentation for projects.Prepare engineering designs related to water systems, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, site grading, and roadway improvements.Utilize AutoCAD (CIVIL3D) for schematic, design development, and construction documents.Assist in the Entitlement process of projects, including coordinating with review agencies, responding to plan review comments, and attending project related meetings.Provide support to other team members and Project Management; Provide direction to other team members and serve as a technical specialist, staff advisor, and consultant.Provide QA/QC review of own work and work of others.Participate in mentoring programs and career growth development.Foster the growth of other team members by providing mentorship and aiding in the enhancement of their skills and knowledge.RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school.Qualifications:A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in land development civil engineering, from conceptual to final designs.Professional Engineer license through the State of Colorado or currently eligible for licensing through reciprocity.Land development engineering experience and skills in commercial/retail, industrial, or residential developments; large and small-scale grading, drainage and utility design; roadway design.Extensive knowledge and experience with Mile High Flood District (MHFD) criteria and design resources.Able to prepare and write technical engineering reports for utilities and drainage.Able to write project narratives, prepare development applications, prepare submittal documents, and response letters.Able to research municipal code, zoning and development standards, review processes, regulations, and design standards.Strong mentoring skills with ability to provide technical guidance to other associates.Proficiency with CIVIL3D, MS Word, and MS Excel.
