Responsibilities
As a Fitness Instructor at Canyon Ranch, you ll be responsible for instructing Wellness/Fitness classes and ensuring guest comfort, safety and enjoyment during classes. Your fitness class schedule may include aerobic exercise, Yoga, muscle toning, strength and endurance and stretching. As a fitness guru, you ll be a pro at assisting guests with proper body alignment, equipment and safety of classes and cardiovascular and weight equipment.
Qualifications
To be success in this role, you ll need:
- A minimum of two years teaching experience in the fitness industry required.
- A college degree relating to fitness preferred (physical education, exercise science, dance, etc.) with a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
- CPR certification and basic first aid knowledge required.
You'll be expected to:
- Must maintain CEC s to keep National Group Exercise and Personal Training Certifications current.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to motivate and work with a diverse group of people.
