Banking Operations Loan Servicing Analyst Washington D.C.,USA Hybrid Position - Onsite 3-4 Days a Week Position Summary Finance professional with expertise and understanding of all client loan, equity, donor-funds and loan-related processes and activities, while supporting effective client servicing and maintaining high standards of team performance for a multifunctional, multi-cultural team of Finance Analysts and Officers both in Washington, D.C. and Chennai, India. Essential Duties Reports directly to Supervisor, Loan and Equity Operations (CNTLO-CNTEC). Entry-level team members functioning in diverse units of the Washington-based EC collaborating with Loan Officers, Analysts, Assistants, and sub-teams. Delivers client services under the guidance of a more senior Analyst or a Finance Officer. Process disbursements to clients, under limited guidance. Review and deliver client invoices, under limited guidance. Provides guidance and mentorship to team members, as appropriate. Assists in process improvements and systems testing. Compliments and backs-up activities and functions of offshore staff with Chennai India colleagues. Supports CNTLO/EC participation in all cross-departmental efforts. Demonstrates high standards of team performance and professional development for a large multi-cultural, multi-functional staff to achieve CNT s strategic objectives. Serves as a model of the high ethical standards of the WBG. Executes the delivery of integrated accounting and financial support services for client s loans, syndicated loans, quasi-equity, donor-funded, guarantee and equity portfolios. Provides input into the identification of opportunities to improve structure, policies, processes, product and system innovations, and ways to strengthen & automate financial controls, reduce volume sensitivity, and implement and maintain best practices pertaining to all client s loan and loan-related investment activities. Assists in the analysis, testing and development of new investment transactions and client products, and development and roll-out of new corporate initiatives. Supports development and nurturing of numerous cross-departmental partnerships. Identifies conflicting/competing needs from different areas of the organization. Position Requirements Minimum: Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3 to 5 years experience in Finance, Banking, Corporate/Public Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: MBA, CPA, or equivalent designation preferred. Background in the financial service industry and familiarity with banking and capital market transactions a plus. Project Management Expertise (PMI or similar certification) a plus. Experience with ACBS (Clients Loan Accounting System) strongly preferred but not necessary. Experience with SAP (Accounting Ledger) and BI (reporting) strongly preferred. Substantive participation on teams or projects in achieving high-quality results in relevant financial operations or loan accounting field. Work history showing stable and increasing scope of responsibilities. Demonstrated experience working in teams. Ability to function effectively in a team climate that facilitates practical problem solving, innovative solutions, and collaboration between teams with multi-cultural backgrounds and multi-disciplinary stakeholders. Work that demonstrates business acumen, pro-activity, client responsiveness and pragmatism. Proven ability to make significant contributions to major initiatives and projects. Work habits and profile that reflect an ability to work effectively in a team environment and work collaboratively across functions and departments. Solid communication skills (in English), both written and oral, to convey basic financial issues concisely to clients (internal and external) and staff. Working knowledge of client s business lines, financial products and practices and private sector management strategies. Working knowledge of accounting theory, concepts, and principles, combined with proven practical skills in financial operations, accounting for loans, guarantees, and trust-funds. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position. Hybrid 3-4 days a week in office.
