Bernhard's vision is to be the leading EaaS provider in North America through the delivery of excellent, high-value service and innovative solutions for our clients.**Overview**The Energy Systems Analyst is responsible for assessing building mechanical and electrical systems while performing technical on-site surveys and in-office analysis on assigned projects. Analysis will include participation in technical studies, investigations, and development of energy-efficient and deferred maintenance scope on assigned projects.**Responsibilities**Specific responsibilities include:+ Assists in the production of projects that are on-time, within-budget, and meet the requirements of industry standards & codes and client specifications.+ Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions either independently or with senior level staff/project manager. Assists in identifying and preparing energy efficient and deferred maintenance scope.+ Performs mechanical system calculations including load calculations, ventilation schedules, etc.+ Interacts in meetings with owners, clients, and/or architects as needed either independently or with senior level staff/project manager; prepares meeting notes.+ Designs and prepares drawings for mechanical systems for projects including duct and pipe sizing.+ Assists the development team in the coordination with other disciplines including energy modeling, financial modeling, lighting, design, etc.+ Attends in-house and external training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas related to building systems.+ Participates in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities.+ Upholds Bernhard's owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values.This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Senior Energy Systems Analyst.**Qualifications****Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications**+ Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a four-year ABET accredited university.+ Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and aptitude.+ Required experience in Excel and Word.+ Ability to communicate effectively with facility managers and engineers.+ Ability to work independently to meet deadlines while on survey.+ Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.+ Ability to use technology and apps for collecting data while on survey.+ Passion for quality and client satisfaction.+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.+ Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.+ Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.+ Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.**Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications**+ Prefer 1-3 years of energy-related client interface for an engineering design firm.+ Preferred experience with building energy services in the health and higher-education field.+ Experience with mechanical and electrical design drawings.+ Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).+ Participation in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities.**Travel Requirements**+ 25-50% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.**Physical/Work Environment Requirements**+ Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.+ Climbing stairs.+ Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.+ Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.+ Operating machinery and/or power tools.+ Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.+ Noisy environment.+ Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.Bernhard is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities, and participates in the E-Verify program.
