Job Details

MAU is hiring an Additive Machining and Printing Technician at our client in Greenville, SC. As an Additive Machining and Printing Technician, you will be responsible for the successful processing of parts across both the print and post-print operations across various pieces of equipment in the Client s development facility, with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will also be involved in continuous improvement projects supporting the modification and improvement of the print and post-print process fixtures and tooling, while supporting the broader team in the implementation solutions. This is a long-term contract assignment.

Shift Information:


  • 1st shift, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM


Required Education and Experience:


  • Machinist Associates degree and 2-years of applicable experience; OR
  • 4+ years of applicable experience; OR
  • Completion of our client s Apprenticeship program


General Requirements:


  • Eligible candidates must complete a machine operator assessment to be considered
  • Ability to wear PPE including PAPR (Powered Air-Purifying Respirator) when handling metal powder
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment and processes like additive DMLM machines
  • Able to learn new software and controls as needed
  • Ability to operate manual machines, CNC EDMs, and 3-Axis Mills
  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics, interpret solid models, perform shop, inspect work to adhere to quality standards and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Self-starter and self-motivated worker comfortable working in an area focused on development activities
  • Team focused, ability to recognize a need and communicate to the team for help, and to help contribute as part of a larger team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with unyielding integrity
  • Ability to take direction from senior technicians and manufacturing engineers
  • Gas turbine component fabrication and product experience


Essential Functions:


  • Setup, processing, and teardown of parts through automated powder removal equipment and issue resolution
  • Setup, machining, and teardown of machining additive parts off of builds plates on Fanuc wires EDM and CNC saw including issue resolution as well as subsequent EDM of supports, additional machining, or the cutups of parts
  • Own processing of build plates to resurface on 3-axis mill
  • Own the manual process support removal, grinding, polishing, and any required grit blast of additive components
  • Mask, setup, process as well as basic programming modification or creation (touchpad) for parts through the shotpeen
  • Complete all required quality checks (visual and gages) while completing required information for Manufacturing Execution System
  • Load, unload, and start heat treat functions on an as needed basis
  • Ability to run manual lathe, mill, drill, saw, etc. for simple fixture/tooling modification or creation
  • Perform basic water spider duties including queue up of parts at operations, close out MES operations, issue resolution
  • Perform Operator Preventative Maintenance (OPM) and basic troubleshooting/resolution of equipment issues
  • Participation in 5S activities, Kaizen Activities, safety concerns resolution and other continuous improvement projects
  • Perform other tasks as required
